I find I have an inner drive to learn how to do something just in case I ever HAVE to know how to do it. Sometimes I end up loving what I learned about so much that I keep doing it. Other times I am glad for the knowing, but will, for the sake of simplicity and sanity, tuck the knowledge away and use the recourses that are available in hopes that they always remain so.
I have been really interested in learning how to make my own vinegar for a while now but never actually looked into it further because I always came away with "I don't understand what this is talking about"... until this morning. The process is described so simply, with pictures, that I had to give it a try right away!
So my first try at cider vinegar is now sitting on my kitchen counter and I decided I had to share the link:

Much better and faster than trying to rewrite the process myself. But, next month, if it works out, I will officially add it to the 'A Time to Knead' cookbook.
